Caparo India’s fabrication division specialises in light & medium fabrication as well as heavy & medium fabrication of customised structural components for the Auto industry and the Railways. The division believes in conducting fabrication with precise control on dimensional accuracy and the quality of fabrication with the required facilities.
The fabrication division was set up with the idea of creating fabrication facilities across the country to cater to the needs of the organised sector companies whose requirements were not being fulfilled to their expectations.
Today, Caparo India's fabrication facilities are spread across Bawal & Gurgaon (Haryana), Halol (Gujarat), Pithampur (MP), Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Greater Noida (UP), and Chennai (TN) with a process capability for CNC, Press Brake, Shearing, Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Bending, Rolling and various types of welding operations. Its Bawal unit is also equipped with metal forming, dip painting, blanking line, tool room and other machining facilities which can be used for precise fabrication.
By developing the capability to supply Fabricated Bumpers for HCV, Long Members, Runner Assemblies, Box Assemblies, Hooper Assemblies, Impeller Assemblies, Oil Pans, etc., the division caters to the exclusive needs of major automotive clients like Volvo Eicher, Renault, Force Motors, etc.
In addition to automotive customers, Caparo also caters to Indian Railways and Metro coach manufacturers with medium and heavy fabrications such as Engine Hood assembly, End wall and Bio tanks for Indian Railways and Bogie under frame, Side wall and end wall primary parts for Bombardier Transportation
